Yolanda Santillanes, BSW

Lead Case Manager

Yolanda is currently the Lead Case Manager of the Rapid Re-Housing Program where she supervises a case management team of four dedicated team members working to keep Veteran families stably housed. She has been part of the VIC family for over five years, and has worked in multiple departments where she brings an understanding, but firm ear to our Veteran families. Yolanda has worked in the medical field, a paralegal, and in construction, before joining the VIC.

Yolanda has a family history of military service. With a husband who is a retired Air Force Veteran, and Iraq War Veteran; a brother who served in the Vietnam-era; and, a father who is a Marine that served during WWII, she is very experienced in helping and understanding Veterans of different generations and with complex issues that affect their lives. Yolanda has a true passion for Veteran families, and believes in respecting those who are willing to ask for help in their most difficult situations.

Yolanda holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, and three Associate’s Degree’s from Central NM Community College. She is also one of the VIC ASIST instructors helping our teams learn how to address trauma and de-escalation techniques that ensures that every Veteran is supported no matter what the situation.
