Yolanda

Yolanda is one of our Lead Case Managers and was recognized for being the only SSVF case manager for a few months and doing a good job at training the new case managers, while maintaining her own case load. Congratulations Yolanda!

Q. Before working at the VIC, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
A. Working construction (manual labor).

Q. People would be surprised if they knew:
A. I plead the fifth amendment.

Q. People say that we become our parents as we age. What’s something your mother or father would do, that you swore you’d never do, but find yourself doing?
A. Can’t think of anything.

Q. Which Mr. Men / Little Miss character do you associate with the most?
A. Miss Brave.

John

John is one of our Monitors and was recognized for being one of the most dependable people on staff and always willing to work extra when needed. As well for being thorough, and always willing to learn from your mistakes. His eye for detail is unmatched. Congratulations John!

Q. Before working at the VIC, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
A. The most interesting job: administrative assistant for the deputy commissioner of the Texas Department of Human Services, Long Term Care Regulatory Division.

Q. People would be surprised if they knew:
A. I’ve dug ditches, framed houses, typed official correspondence, waited tables, and was the classified document custodian for my unit during the Gulf War.

Q. People say that we become our parents as we age. What’s something your mother or father would do, that you swore you’d never do, but find yourself doing?
A. Complaining about the younger generation.

A. Mr. Wrong.
