Advisory: At-Risk Veteran Outreach in Taos, NM

AT-RISK VETERAN OUTREACH IN TAOS, NEW MEXICO Veterans Integration Centers and Not Forgotten Outreach, Inc. Collaboration


(Albuquerque, NM) – The Veterans Integrations Centers (VIC®) has partnered with Not Forgotten Outreach, Inc. for a street outreach that will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2019. The street outreach will target the needs of at-risk Veterans and their families by providing services on the streets of Taos. The Mobile Outreach Unit will provide tangible items such as food, socks, and clothing. Referrals to service providers including emergency housing and housing assistance referrals will also be provided.


Veterans in need can call 505-239-5334 and speak to a member of the Mobile Outreach Unit to find the nearest location or estimated time of arrival to a location. The Mobile Outreach schedule is as follows:


8:00 AM Taos Men’s Shelter (220 Albright Street) 9:30 AM Greater Taos 10:45 AM Hondo 12:00 PM Questa


Homeless or low income Veterans and their families looking for assistance are encouraged to attend. There is no fee and Veterans should bring their DD214 or VA card as proof of Veteran service; however, Veterans without documentation will not be turned away.


The VIC and Not Forgotten Outreach, Inc. have been working closely together to address the needs of homeless and low income Veterans and their families in Taos County.
