Robert OLeary

Robert O'Leary

Director (Board election - April 2021)

Rob O’Leary’s father was a career Naval officer, which meant the family moved every few years, with Albuquerque being his last assignment prior to retirement. Raised to believe in service to his country, Rob was drafted in 1968, and assigned to 101st Airborne Division where he deployed to Vietnam as a finance clerk. Lucky to not be injured like many of his fellow Soldiers, Rob returned to New Mexico after receiving an Honorable discharge in November 1970.

The Manzano High School graduate then attended UNM, earning a degree in Biology, and subsequently graduating from the UNM School of Pharmacy where he received his Doctorate in Pharmacy in 1984. His career included positions as a pharmacist at St. Joseph Medical Center and Presbyterian Hospital as Infectious Disease Pharmacist over a 37-year career. A lifetime New Mexican for over 44 years, Rob brings a lifetime of knowledge, experience, and critical thinking to the VIC Board. He has helped with numerous community drives helping those less fortunate over the years and is passionate about helping those in need.
